This week in Mrs. Rewerts’ middle school classroom, students are testing roller coasters that they have made themselves. The point of the project is to explain Newton’s Laws of Motion, which explains why things react the way that they do. The students then have to point to where the laws are in effect, and then explain how it works in hand with the roller coasters. The point of the project is to show students how physics can apply to the daily tasks of life, while teaching them how to apply it at the same time.
