Math teacher Karl Dahlke is shown in yearbook photos through the years. From left: senior year in 1981, as a teacher in 1993, and as a teacher in 2016.

Math teacher Karl Dahlke graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 1981. He explains that the main difference between being a student then and a student now is the change in technology. One example of a change in technology he gave was calculators. “You could get a calculator…for fifty, sixty, seventy bucks, for just the things we get a the dollar store now,” he said. Along with these new technological advances came the reliance on the technology.
