Peter Rabbit is a hilarious children’s movie, made by Sony Animation. The 2018 film stars a CGI animated rabbit named Peter (played by James Corden) and follows his attempts to try and rid the garden of Thomas McGregor (played by Domhnall Gleeson). It takes place in current day England, and is spin-off of the children’s book of the same name. I believe that this is one of the best children’s films out there, but isn’t so great for family movie night. While it is full of quirky jokes, and funny animation, it doesn’t serve to older audiences such as teens, and adults. It does, however, have wonderful animation, which truly does set the bar higher than is has ever been set for CGI mixed with live action movies. The characters are also very deep and meaningful for just being in a children’s movie, each having their own character arch and realizations at some point in the movie. All of these factors make it a movie I would recommend you watch if you feel like being a little kid again.
