The 2020 NBA draft was live Nov 18th at 8 P.M. on ESPN. With many people in wonder of where the biggest prospects were going to go in the NBA, the results came to what many expected. The top three prospects, Lamelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, and James Wiseman all got selected in the top three as many NBA fans expected. Anothony edwards was selected first by the Minnesota Timberwolves, James Wiseman was selected second by the Golden State Warriors, and Lamelo Ball was selected third by the Charlotte Hornets. Lamelo Ball is probably the most famous basketball player out of the whole draft because of his older brother being drafted second overall by the Lakers two years ago. Lamelo and his older brother, Lonzo are the first brothers to ever be selected within the first five picks.

One important thing I would like to bring up is that we had some MSU basketball players get drafted also. Xavier Tillman got drafted 35th overall in the second round by the Sacramento Kings but got traded to the Memphis Grizzlies where he will be playing with his former teammate from MSU, Jaren Jackson Jr. Cassius Winston from MSU also got drafted 53rd overall in the second round by the Oklahoma City Thunder but then got traded to the Washington Wizards. It is very cool to see people so close to home and from our favorite sports school go professional.
