Girls Varsity Netters Win Opener Against Ionia

The Ovid-Elsie Girl’s Varsity Team faced off against Ionia and won 42-32 in an away game. The
game took place at 7:00 pm on November 29th and marked the start of the girl’s season.
A few players would step up and help lead the team to this victory. Evalyn Cole would score 11
points and have eight steals. Braeden Tokar would follow up with 11 points as well with seven
boards. Additionally, Ava Bates would score 10 points and go home with eight boards.
The team now looks forward to their next game, another away matchup against the
Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates away at 7:00 pm Friday night. Additionally, the girls will have their
first home game Monday night against Dansville.
