Congradulations to Jacob Somers on winning the University of Northwest Ohio scholarship. He drove to Lima, OH last month to participate in the scholarship testing along with 5000 other potential students. Jacob placed 1st in the Diesel Competition and won a $20,000 scholarship to attend UNOH.

Attention Boys Basketball players: Reminder that practices begin today in the Main Gym. Freshman and JV practice will begin after school and run until 5:15. Varsity players, please meet in the video room at 5:15 for a meeting before practice begins at 6 pm.

Attention all wrestlers: Please meet in the boys varsity locker room @ 3:30 pm today for your 1st day of practice. Anyone interested in joining the team, try it out for a few days and see if you like it. See Mr. Bowen with questions.

Varsity Boys Basketball team are selling new M-Zone t-shirts for $12. Order forms can be picked up in Student Services. Money and forms need to be in by this Wednesday.

Central Driving School has “canceled” the Segment II driver education class that was scheduled to start today.

Burcham Enterprises will be offering a Segment I driver education class beginning on Monday, December 1 from 3:05-5:05 p.m. Registration packets are available at the high school office.

Attention students interested in bowling: Bowling practices will be held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s beginning tomorrow, from 3:30 – 5:00 at Capitol Bowl in Owosso. Be sure to see Mrs. Latz for a “Gold Card” before your first practice. No Gold Card No Practice.

If you are participating in the candy yearbook fundraiser, orders are due back by this Thursday, November 20. If you sell 15 items, you get a free yearbook. See Noah Sherwood, the yearbook sales manager, with any questions.

This Thursday the OE Student Challenge will meet in room C-14 in the high school at 7:00 am. There will be a free hot breakfast of french toast and sausage. The guest speaker will be Jeff Pangborn, two time high school state champion wrestler. Jeff had an incredible senior year in which he was not only undefeated, but, unscored upon throughout the entire season. Jeff went on to wrestle for Central Michigan University and was a very successful wrestler there as well. This is open to all OE Middle School students and staff.

The seniors beat the juniors in the finals of the annual boys volleyball games Friday night by the scores of 24-26, 25-18, 16-14. The seniors got to the finals by defeating the sophomores 25-11, 25-20. The juniors turned back the freshman 25-20, 25-12 to also get to the finals. Third place went to the freshman as they knocked off the sophomores 25-17, 12-25, 15-13.
