On Friday April 9th the Ovid Elsie Marauders track team faced off against Morrice, Pewamo Westphalia, Portland, Parchment, and Petoskey St. Michael Academy. The Marauders placed fourth overall in team points.
In the sprint events Sam Kokmeyer of Parchment took first place in the 100m dash with a time of 12.25 seconds. The 200m dash was won by Garret Schafer of Pewamo Westphalia with a time of 23.78; Schafer was followed closely by Christian Smitdfranz of the Marauders.
In the mid-distance events Gavyn Leavitt of Ovid-Elsie placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.75; he was followed closely by team mate Jacob Schaub who placed second. The 800m dash was won by Alex Thelen with a time of 2:16.79.
