O-E Varsity Girls Softball played a double header Monday, May 3rd, against Byron. The girls overall record is now 8-10 and their conference record is 3-3.
The Lady Marauders grabbed the lead early in the first game after a good inning that started with Jolene Nash. Nash led the team in hits with four hits and four RBI’s. Olivia Burt was in the circle for the first game and pitched all seven innings; and had 9 strikeouts and had 22 first pitch strikes. O-E won 10-3.
The second game for the Marauders was 16-4. They got the lead early in the first inning after Burt hit a solo-homerun. Burt led the team in hits with three and RBI’s with four. Olyvia Darling led the Marauders in walks. Katilyn Fry pitched the second game and had five strikeouts and had 14 first pitch strikes.
