The OE Equestrian Team has qualified for States after taking Reserve Champion at Regionals Oct. 3. Riders Claire Fitzpatrick and Kendahl Smeltzer said the season started in July and will end Oct 18th. According to both Fitzpatrick and Smeltzer, who are the only seniors on the team this year, both agreed Clarkson was the hardest competition. They have a season record of 2nd place in the 1st and 3rd meet, and 1st place at the second meet. Coach Barbara Schultz was pleased with the season, “Our team has really come together with such a great group of hard working and committed kids and parents. We finished Districts as Reserve Champions are headed to Regionals this weekend. Go OE!” This is the team’s 4th consecutive year of making it to Regionals under coach Schultz’s guidance. The team is made of four girls, Adele Jones, Samantha Snider, Kendhal Smeltzer, and Claire Fitzpatrick.
