Most Students Celebrate Halloween, Survey Finds

Most Students Celebrate Halloween, Survey Finds

In a Halloween survey of approximately 50 people, most said they like Halloween and are

planning on celebrating the season this year. The survey was conducted via Google Forms to all

classes. The majority of responders are dressing up, watching movies, or going to a Halloween

party, while some are working, handing out candy, or not doing anything at all.

When asked what their favorite candy was, most responses were favoring chocolate, specifically

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Twix. When asked about favorite foods at a Halloween party,

most said sweets and desserts, like cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. Nachos, tacos, and chips came

in a close second.

Responses for favorite Halloween movies and series were diverse, with almost 20 different

choices. The majority agreed on “Nightmare Before Christmas,” but the “Halloweentown”

movie series took a close second and “Hocus Pocus” and “Friday the 13th” tied for third.

When asked what their favorite costume was as a kid, many said a variety of different characters

from movies and TV shows. When thinking about this year, many said they weren’t dressing up,

but the majority of students who are dressing up are planning on a character as well.
