The LA Galaxy won 3-0 Wednesday October 20th, against the Houston Dynamo at PNC Stadium. The game in Houston was an intense affair as the push for the playoffs continued.
LA Galaxy opened the scoring with a goal by midfielder Sacha Kljestan at the 39th minute. Just before the break, the Houston Dynamo granted the Galaxy an own goal that gave the Galaxy a 2-0 lead at the break.
Just after halftime the Galaxy got their third goal, when forward Kevin Cabral made it 3-0. The game featured a few yellow cards but the scoreline ended 3-0. This was the LA Galaxy’s second straight win after a nine game winless run. Houston’s 4 game home win streak ended Wednesday.
The LA Galaxy (13-11-6, 45 points) currently sit 5th overall in the Western Conference. They sit just 3 points above the cut line for the playoffs. Houston (6-12-13, 30 points) are currently sitting well outside the playoff hunt and without significant help, it is unlikely they will feature in the playoffs.
