Ovid Elsie Varsity boys basketball continues their undefeated season with a good team win over Chesaning High School on Tuesday, Jan 25th. The Marauders ended the game 57-49. The team struggled with turnovers, but came back and stayed up against the Indians due to a good overall team defense. Junior Clay Wittenburg had a great night and scored the team high of 14 points. Axel Newel and Logan Thompson trailed right behind both finishing with 13 points. Senior Dylan Carman followed with 9 points and 6 rebounds of his own. This game was a really big win for the Marauders as Chesaning was ranked 2nd in the conference. The boys and coach Latz are now 8-0 in our conference and 10-0 overall. The Marauders next game will be on Friday, Jan. 28th against the Bryon Eagles starting at 5:30 at Byron High School.
