The Ovid-Elsie Girls Varsity soccer team traveled to Chippewa Hills on Saturday April 16th for a tournament. During the first game (Chippewa Hills vs. Coopersville) Coopersville came out on top with a 3-0 score. The next game (Ovid-Elsie vs. Coopersville) was a very even match. O-E came out with energy and intensity in the first half and dominated 4-1. The last game of the day (Ovid-Elsie vs. Chippewa Hills) was also a good game with the Marauders winning 6-0. Ovid-Elsie got to try out a new formation and see how well the team was able to move together. “It’s really exciting to see how well our team is already doing and working together this early in the season,” captain Audrey Bates said. The Marauders next game is home on Tuesday April 19 where the Marauders will take on the Montrose Rams.
