Christmas is a little over a week away and students of Journalism Third Hour recently started planning a Christmas party. The students answered a poll with a Christmas theme. Thirteen students were asked these questions about holiday plans and the results are below.
When asked if anyone was writing a Christmas-themed story for the website only two said yes, while 11 said they were not and would continue to write their usual projects. However, eight students consider Christmas their favorite holiday, with only roughly 31% saying it isn’t.
Seven students responded to being asked if they do a big celebration for Christmas, yes. Six students said they celebrated Christmas with close relatives or friends at a small party. Out of the people surveyed, eight people agreed they would be hosting such a party with five being invited to the Christmas party they are attending this year.
The students were asked if they preferred snow on Christmas Day, and four students said they didn’t like to have snow on Christmas Day. The majority of students said that they preferred having snow on Christmas Day. When asked about the state of their Christmas tree, about 15% of students said that they didn’t have their tree decorated and 11 students said that they have already decorated it.
The state of the students’ presents was also questioned with four students not having their presents ready yet. On the other hand, Nine students said they had all their gifts prepared. There was a large majority of students that described their preference for giving gifts, yet there was a small amount of only two students preferring to get presents.
