The Ohio State men’s hockey team lost to No. 4-ranked Michigan State. Michigan State won 5-2, on March 2nd in Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing.
The teams were tied at one after the first period, but the Spartans scored three times in the second. The sophomore line of Isaac Howard, Daniel Russell, and Karsen Dorwart combined for eight points, and goalie Trey Augustine made 28 saves for the Spartans.
The Spartans were quick on the attack as they hit the ice hungry for puck possession. They consistently made clean passes for great takeaways through the neutral zone, broke up passes better, and created great setups on shot attempts to boost their confidence.
