J.J McCarthy, Michigan Football’s Quarterback for the past 3 years has just recently entered the 2024 NFL draft.McCarthy ended his Michigan Football career with a record of 15-0, and a national championship after beating the Washington Huskies. According to ESPN, this is Michigan’s first National Championship since 1997 when they shared the title with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.McCarthy ended his career with a record of 22-1 as a starter.Wolverine Digest states,”He’s been so good that his winning percentage (.957) is the highest of any quarterback over the last 10 seasons with a minimum of 20 starts.”

McCarthy is a popular name during NFL draft season this year, as the Michigan quarterback has climbed up boards to become a possible top 10 pick.” J.J McCarthy ended his 2023 season with 2,991 yards,22 touchdowns, and only threw four interceptions. McCarthy made 654 pass attempts in his two years as a starter.J.J stated in an NFL scouting combine that the stats aren’t the biggest thing to him in football, being the best teammate and football player he could be was the most important.CBS says the Atlanta Falcons, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Pittsburgh Steelers want McCarthy on their team.
Although McCarthy hasn’t been put on a team permanently, his stats, and his attitude have helped both in college football and will continue to help him in the NFL. Since J.J McCarthy is just coming off of a National Championship, it will be easy for him to get drafted into the NFL.
