Jelly Roll performs during the 2024 CMT Music Awards at Moody Center on April 7, 2024, in Austin, Texas. On Sunday night he took home three big trophies. Jelly Roll has been performing since 2003, he has 28 albums to his credit. Jelly Roll went to jail for felony robbery and drug charges in two separate charges, he went to jail in March of 2002. Jelly, for each of his wins, delivered a speech. Jelly Roll won Video of the Year and Male of the Year for “Need a Favor” also winning CMT Performance of the Year. Jelly Roll also closed the show with a performance of “Halfway to Hell.” This was Jelly Roll’s second year in a row of wins. Last year, he won Male Video of the Year, Male Breakthrough Video of the Year and CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year, all for “Son of a Sinner.”
