Rotten tomatoes says, “Gordon, a hopeless romantic, finds his proposal plans are thrown into chaos when his girlfriend is swept away to Quebec by a job offer from her ex, a sophisticated celebrity chef. Determined to keep their love alive, Gordon leaves Brooklyn for her hometown, only to find himself hilariously out of his depth in attempting to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family.”

Lisa Kennedy a top critic on rotten tomatoes said,”For every inventive or simply satisfying rom-com, there are dozens of clumsy, rote ones — “French Girl” falls among the latter.” Rotten tomatoes gave it 26%.
Acid B. A person who saw French girl said,” What a nice surprise. The entire theater was laughing for the duration of the film. Good jokes, great story, the actors are pleasant, really a great experience and a comedy to watch again. What a great way to show the beautiful Québec city. The chemistry between the actors is also amazing. Don’t trust the haters, it’s a great comedy.” They gave it a 4.5 star rating. The overall audience gave it a 76%.
While French Girl has beautiful scenery and cinematography, its storyline did not compliment it. I am not too fond of the movie. I would give it 2.5 out of 5 star review.
