The Bends by Radiohead was released on March 13th, 1995, and is categorized as an
alternative rock album. The Bends is Radiohead’s second album, they released this not long
after their most popular song, Creep became a hit!
The Bends begins with the track Planet Telex, which has a techno-rock vibe that is
present in many of their songs. The album also includes Black Star, My Iron Lung, and (Nice
Dream). Despite having different lyrics, these three songs share a common dreamlike quality.
There are a few songs on this album that have stood out to fans, both old and new, over
the years. These songs include High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, and Just. Recently, these
three songs have been getting the attention they deserve through media circulation. These are
great songs with incredible lyrics that a lot of people can relate to.
In conclusion, The Bends may not be suitable for everyone, but if you enjoy rock, techno,
and alternative music, I would recommend giving this band a try. They have some hits and
misses, but overall, they are fairly good! 7/10.
