Tarot was released in the United States on May 3rd, 2024. It was published by Sony Pictures. This movie is based on the 1992 novel titled Horrorscope by Nicholas Adams. It is an American supernatural horror film and was written and directed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg. It was also co-written by Nicholas Adams. Throughout the time this film has been released it has generally received negative reviews from critics. One includes,” This is not a horror film, nor original in any way. The script has been written by what seems to be AI or a really lazy writer.” Although it has not received the best ratings it has grossed $37 million worldwide. It has also received a 20% on the Tomatometer and a 58% audience rating. The reason why people are not enjoying the movie is they believe the script isn’t the best and that some of the actors weren’t the best. The storyline of this movie is that a group of college students who use an odd Tarot card start to die one by one. After that, they have to figure out the mystery surrounding the deck before time runs out. If you enjoy movies where you don’t expect it to take turns, you should watch this movie. I give it a 3/5 because its interesting and suspenseful.
