Nebraska traveled to Michigan State University on Oct. 18, and took a win of 3-0. Both teams played well but Nebraska came out on top in all three, with spectacular stats. They had a total of 56 points from the whole game, while MSU only had 36. Nebraska had 48 kills, 2 aces, 6 blocks, 43 assists, and 46 digs. MSU only had 31 kills, 1 ace, 4 blocks, 29 assists, and 31 digs.
Star players from the Nebraska team are Harper Murray, Taylor Landfair, Andi Jackson, Bergen Reilly, Merritt Beason, Laney Choboy, Kennedi Orr, Lexi Rodriguez, and Olivia Mauch. Harper Murray had 12 kills and 8 digs; Andi Jackson had 10 kills and 5 blocks; Bergen Reilly had 1 ace, 34 assists, 2 blocks, and 9 digs; Merritt Beason had 1 ace and 2 blocks. Laney Choboy and Kennedi Orr both had 7 digs, Taylor Landfair had 12 kills, Lexi Rodriguez had 4 assists, and finally Olivia Mauch with 2.
Leading players for MSU are Taylor Preston, Akasha Anderson, Zuzanna Kulig, Taylah Holdem,Julia Bishop, Nalani Iosia, and Kayla Foley. Taylor Preston had 9 kills and 1 block. Overall, both teams played really well. Unfortunately for MSU though, they couldn’t get a win over this great team which leaves them 8-12 overall, and puts Nebraska at a record of 18-1.
