Chromakopia by American rapper Tyler the creator is the most mid album he has
released. It was released on Oct. 28th, I was insanely let down. This album is a
different style for Tyler but it just doesn’t suit him and the way he wants people to portray him. In
the sneak peek music video a bunch of artists were walking out and one was thought to be
Frank Ocean, 21 savage, Kendrick Lamar, and other artists. When the album actually released
none of these artists were featured in Tyler’s album which was a huge letdown for many fans.
This album is 52 minutes and 54 seconds long, the genres are hip-hop, R&B, and jazz.
All of Tyler’s previous albums have never been a letdown, he has never disappointed me with
his music. This album just isn’t the same as his others. The style is not good and I don’t think he
should continue on with it.
This album has the most horrible features ever, like sexyy red who doesn’t suit his usual
type of music, she seemed out of place, and so did glorilla. All of this combined ruined the
album, I had high expectations going into it but it was just not as good as I thought it would be. I
was excited for the features that were shown in the music video trailer, but when it was released
and I saw none of those people were in it I was very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong some of
the songs in this album are good, they aren’t all bad but its just the principle of the situation that
makes this album mid.
All in all this album is not as good as I would have liked it to be, I thought it was going to
be his best album yet but it is his worst. I rate this album a 5/10, I really wish it was good
enough to rate it higher but It was a complete let down compared to all of his other albums.
