The first half of season 4 of Outer Banks was released on Oct. 10th, 2024, and the rest was released on Nov. 7th, 2024. The rating of the new season on Rotten Tomatoes is 79%. Running time for the episodes range from 42-85 minutes long, and there are 10 episodes total in the season. My first impression on the new season was really good because of the plot, and it had action going on at all times.
Outer Banks was directed mainly by Jonas Pate and the help of others. Throughout the whole show there are really only 5 big time important characters. The main character, John B. Rutledge, is played by Chase Stokes. Another important character in the new season is Sarah Cameron, who is played by Madelyn Cline. Rudy Pankow, played as JJ Maybank and is the show’s comedian as some like to say. Jonathan Daviss, plays as Pope Heyward and is the brilliant and smart one of the group. The last very important character is Kiara, also known as “Kie,” played by Madison Bailey. Those 5 characters are really good friends known as the Pogues.
In season 3 of Outer Banks it ended with the Pogues finding El Dorado, which is a hidden city of gold. After that they were asked by a man to help solve another mystery since they were smart enough to find El Dorado. In season 4 that is the main plot of the whole season. They start to figure out the origins of the mystery ship that sank with treasure but challenges come along the way. John B takes the lead of the adventure and the Pogues plus a friend they met in season 3 travel far away to find out where the missing treasure ended up. What they don’t know is the price for the treasure may come with a consequence.
I think anyone who likes adventure shows or any type of drama related shows, should watch the new Outer Banks season. It is filled with many interesting mysteries and adventures. A Rotten Tomatoes review says, “It’s got humor, it’s got tragedy, and it’s a tense, wild ride that doesn’t disappoint.” That is exactly how the entire new season went and was very intense in a lot of moments, which made it so good and enjoyable to watch. In conclusion, I think everyone should watch the new Outer Banks season 4 because it is an amazing show and different from all other shows.
