Ovid-Elsie varsity boys basketball played Chesaning high school on March 4, 2025 in regionals after winning the district championship. Ovid- Elsie won the game 44-39.
The score was close throughout the whole game, making it pretty nail-biting. After talking to Sophomore guard Travis Milner, it was clear that the team was excited. Milner says, “The team will not stop yelling with excitement!” Milner himself could not hold back how happy he was.
Milner was the lead scorer, he had a handful of three’s throughout the game. The gym was packed full of supporting fans. The crowd was wild. Tucker Loynes forward from Ovid-Elsie said, “The crowd was so loud that I could not hear the plays that coach was calling.” Support from students on both teams was there as well. They had many amazing chants for the teams and even for each other. Ovid-Elsie has another game on March 6, 2025. They will be playing Jackson Lumen Christi at Ithaca Junior and Senior High School at 7:00 pm. To win regionals and go on to state quarter finals.
