Captain America: Brave New World is the newest Marvel movie to hit theaters. It is an action and adventure movie that was released on February 14th of this year. It has a runtime of 1h 58m and a rating of PG-13 for Intense Sequences of Violence, Action, and Strong Language. Since this is such a new movie, right now you can only watch it in theaters.
Captain America: Brave New World was directed by Julius Onah. There are lots of big actors in this movie. Some of the main actors are Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, and Giancarlo Esposito, who you might know from shows like Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian, and The Boys. Harrison Ford has also appeared in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie franchises.
This movie follows the story of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) who has officially taken up the mantle of Captain America. Sam finds himself in the middle of an international conflict after his meeting with U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) turns into an attempted assassination. Sam’s friend Isaish Bradley is falsey accused of the assassianation and faces death if his name is not cleared. Sam must discover the true mastermind behind the attack and save Isaish before it is too late.
Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie a very low 48% on their Tomatometer. One of their critics says, “If Brave New World is a sign of things to come, then the MCU is in more trouble than we thought.” I could not agree more with that statement. The movie was just very bland and basic. It felt like everyother action superhero movie and was not anything special. Although there were some high moments in the movie, most of the it was just boring. The final battle was probably the best part of the movie and made it end on a high-note. Sadly the rest of the movie was not like that scene. I would personally give this movie a 5.3/10. I would not recommend that you watch this movie in theaters. If you are a big superhero action movie fan then you might like it but I don’t think that anyone else will.
