Alex G’s Trick A Profound Exploration of Feelings

Trick by Alex G is an amazing album, it captivates a wide variety of emotions and feelings that no other album can create. It gives a sense of comfort when deep in loneliness, because this album is easy to relate to. Trick was released on Nov. 5th 2012, the genre of this album is Indie Rock. This is album is probably the best indie rock album to ever be released. For some reason Alex G is perfect at describing thoughts and emotions, this album directly reflects that. Alex G isn’t as well known as some other artists out there but his music really speaks to the heart and soul. He is a phenomenal writer, and every song continues to surprise me. He provides beautiful imagery with the lyrics, and description. Alex G really knows how to grab the listeners attention. The songs are fairly short but the message is always there. Trick just shows Alex G’s talent and creativity. The lyrics are well crafted and beautiful. The beat and instrumentation flows perfectly with the lyrics. No album is perfect but this one comes very close. All in all this album is terrific, it showcases different emotions for different people. It shows the true depth of feeling. I rate this album a 9/10, this album isn’t for everyone objectively but it can be for everyone if people paid attention to the lyrics and actually listened to them.
