Solo Leveling season two is still releasing episodes as we speak and it started on Jan. 5th
2025. starts a day after season one ended. To recap, the MC Sung Jinwoo(English voice-Aleks
Le which you might know from Demon Slayer as Zenitsu) to pay for his sick mother’s bills and
little sister’s tuition, started taking up work as a hunter despite being the lowest rank being
E-rank. Which for most cases can’t be changed however in the aftermath of a horrific raid,
Jinwoo gained the ability to level up, which on his Journey to get stronger he came across a
dungeon key that sent him to a dungeon that had a reward of a recipe for a potion called “The
Elixir of Life” which was said to be able to cure any disease. On his first attempt to clear the
dungeon he almost dies and decides that he needs to get stronger before going any further and
leaves. Once he left he goes on starting to level up and ends up getting a new class of “Shadow
Monarch” basically making his new class a necromancer but instead of raising bodies from the
dead he just gets them as “shadows” made of magic that he can command and respawn with
magic if they die. Now to the start of season two Sung Jinwoo is trying to show his sisters best
friend, Han Song-yi( English-Emi Lo who you might know from the Cyberpunk series as Lucy)
who is a new hunter also E-rank that it isn’t safe and is trying to convince her to stop being a
hunter by taking her in a C-rank gate/dungeon with a organizations rookies which are mainly
B-rank. But after entering it turns out that the gate ended up being a special gate called a red
gate which puts everybody who enters into a random location that they can’t leave and are
completely isolated from the outside world until they have defeated the boss which the monsters
in red gates usually are all B-rank or above. Will they all survive or will they all get slaughtered
by the monsters. Rotten tomatoes has rated this series including season one and two a 10/10
on the tomatometer and you can watch it on Fandango, Crunchyroll, and Funimation. So far
from what I’ve watched I would also give this series a 10/10 would definitely recommend.
