h Bryan is a rising star and becoming one of the most popular country artists. DeAnn, Zach Bryan’s debut album was released on August 24, 2019. The album was produced by a small producer, Leo Alba. Zach Byran’s music is all country, but in this album, all of his songs are written from the heart about his mom.
Zach Bryan is a well-talented songwriter and has a very unique voice from any other country singer. He writes all of his songs and makes sure they all have meaning to his life so other people can relate. He plays the guitar in his songs and also has a band that plays some of his other instruments. Zephyr Avalon plays the bass, Daniel Chase plays the cello and the violin, Steve Clark plays the drums and a little guitar, Read Connolly plays mainly the banjo and guitar, and lastly, Graham Bright plays the electric guitar. Zach Bryan is the vocalist and lead guitarist, and he also plays bass, electric guitar, harmonica, and percussion. It is really impressive as a songwriter with a band to be able to play that many instruments. The cool thing about Zach Bryan’s band is that all the guys in it are some of his best friends that he grew up with in his hometown Oologah, Oklahoma.
In the album DeAnn, the songs are very slowly sung and very sad but soothing to listen to. For example, the song Sweet DeAnn is so slow to get the point across about his mother. The whole album is about his Mom who passed away a few years before he released this album. He makes a lot of rhymes and has a really good tune to all his songs. Most songs in this album are played with just an acoustic guitar, which is calming to listen to at any time. Any song in DeAnn is about how much he misses his mom in his life and expresses how it made him feel when she passed. It is the saddest album I have ever listened to due to the meaning behind it. The more popular songs in DeAnn are Sweet DeAnn, God Speed, Condemned, and Snow. Those four songs are so meaningful and are popular for a good reason. My favorite song in the album that is not so popular is Letting Someone Go because of how lyrically strong it is and it tells you so much about how Zach Bryan felt about that devastating time for him.
The album DeAnn is all around one of the best albums I have ever listened to lyrically, especially for a country artist. I would rate it a solid 9/10, and think everyone should listen to it at least once. It is so powerful with such a deep meaning to it. I recommend DeAnn to anyone who likes soft country music, or anyone who likes music with a sad background. In conclusion, definitely one of my favorite, and best albums to ever be written.
