After one season with the Blue Devils, Duke star Cooper Flagg has declared for the NBA draft. Despite entering college at just 17, Flagg established himself as one of the top players in the NCAA and is widely regarded as a potential No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA draft. He turned 18 in December, about a month after the season began.
Although Duke fell short in their pursuit of a men’s national championship, losing in the Final Four due to a dramatic comeback by Houston, Flagg impressed throughout the season. He was named a first-team All-American and received the National Player of the Year award in five of the six recognitions given by the NCAA.
During his time with the Blue Devils, he played 37 games, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game.
Flagg, who is 6 feet 9 inches tall and plays both guard and forward, could be a valuable asset to any NBA franchise due to his height, size, and ball-handling skills.
