However, when he finally returns home, he finds that he cannot leave the war behind.”
The main cast of American Sniper includes Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, Sienna Miller as Taya Renae Kyle, Jake McDorman as Biggles, Luke Grimes as Marc Lee, and Navid Negahban as Sheikh Al-Obodi.
A top critic, Biran Eggert, said, “Eastwood and Hall construct a very cinematic, romantic tale that leaves little to question; though reality, as always, is far more intricate and certainly not as black-and-white. As the saying goes, “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.” He rated this movie a 2.5/4 stars while Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 72%.
An audience member, Frans B, said, “Powerful, emotional and very gritty. Directed to a tee by Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper excels as usual exceptionally well in character. Top class cinematography and writing. Succeeds in gripping you to the point where you can almost experience the settings physically. Outstanding on absolutely every level. Truly a memorable movie about a memorable man” He gave this movie a 5/5 stars while the audience gave it an 84%.
I liked this movie and I never really watch movies about any army or military branches, and this just showed a whole other level in these movies. Chris’s job is more interesting to me, with his being a sniper and helping to keep his comrades safe. There’s not too much to say about it other than that it had a good story combating military life and home life. It was a decent movie, but not really a favorite. I’d rate this movie a 3.5/5 stars.
