Kevin Maher, another top critic of Rotten Tomatoes, said,” It would be funny if it weren’t so dull and so strangely played by Malek, an actor who seemingly believes that a complex internal life is best illustrated by hyperactive facial muscles and the blinkless stare of a sullen zombie.” They gave it a 2 out of 5. Overall, Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 60%.
I believe that as I watched The Amateur, it got more interesting as the movie went on. It had a lot of action that made the movie very likable. I would recommend it.
