Early Friday morning an E-F-0 tornado hit St, Charles, leaving significant damage behind and lots of clean up effort to follow it. Roads are blocked, and hundreds of residents are without power right now. The Superintendent of St. Charles schools Sarah Kettelhohn reported that power was returned to the school on Saturday, allowing members of the community to use the facilities for essential services. Many people are using generators to keep their homes up and running until power is restored. Even with the damage and loss of power St. Charles schools plans on resuming classes Tuesday with crews continuing to work on restoring power. As the community comes together to recover, the focus remains on ensuring safety and returning to normalcy.
