Ovid Elsie JV volleyball lost to Chesaning 3-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Ovid Elsie High school.  

          In the first set, the team lost 28-26, in the second set, they lost 25-20. Finally, the third set was lost 15-11.

JV Coach Bethany Lawrence said, “The girls fought hard and took it to extra points but lost in the end.”

          She also talked about how during the game she thought the team lost their energy so it was hard to get anything started to gain points.

          Lawrence said, “Our weak area for the night was giving up 9 points to missed serves”

          There were three top players of the night. On defense, Sam Boles had 7 aces while serving. On offense Madison Cunningham had 10 kills while Kalista Bancroft had 7 kills.
