Ovid Elsie Varsity soccer beat Durand 5-0, May 10th, at home. Goals were scored by Josie Nash assisted by Madison Cunningham, Raygan Fluharty assisted by Josie Nash, Rayfan Fluharty assisted by Josie Nash, Josie Nash assisted by Raygan Fluharty, and Kaylee Sutliff assisted by Kylee Sevenski. Ovid Elsie goalie Alexis Kusnier had two saves on two shots and Durand goalie had three saves on eight shots. Head coach Craig Thelen had this to say, “I was pleased with the way we were able to control possession tonight. Durand had a great sweeper who shut down a lot of our attacks so we have to be pleased with putting five on them. In turn, defense was led by Lauren Palus, never let anything dangerous through. OE defense continues to get better every game they play. Josie Nash and Raygan Fluharty had a great connection tonight, Josie assisted on each of Raygan’s  goals and had one more, while Raygan assisted on each of Josie’s goals and added another one as well. On one of the best plays of our year the duo were able to connect on a beautiful set play by properly reading and reacting to it accordingly.
