This week the Ovid-Elsie Girls JV Basketball Team played two games. The first one took place on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd, away at St. Charles. The Bulldogs defeated the Marauders 40-20 The girls struggled to keep focus on offence and keep a lead.
The second game was Thursday, Feb. 25th, at home against Linden. The Marauders fell short again and lost 16-23. Linden kept a good zone defence that Ovid-Elsie had a hard time breaking. This week was not good for the team and they reported they are going to try and work hard to get the next win.
Top scorer for the St. Charles’ game was Hadley Bukantis. Top scorer for the Linden game was Sam Snider and a team total of 13 steals.
The next game is scheduled for Monday, Mar. 1st, at home against Portland.
