Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Takes Character to Next Level

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a show based on the Archie Comics comic books that were written in 1941, and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” a television show that aired in 1996.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a Netflix original series that has four seasons. Season one came out on Oct 26, 2018. Season four came out on Dec. 31, 2020. 

This show is about a half witch-half mortal teenage girl named Sabrina. In season one, she has to make a decision if she wants to sign the book of the beast and cut all ties with the mortal world and become a full time witch, or leave her witch life behind forever. She figures out that if she signs the book, she will lose her free will so she runs away, making her family and coven very angry. Throughout the season, the coven tries everything they can to get her to sign the book. She also has to enroll in the Academy of Unseen Arts with the other witches while also attending Baxter High with the mortals. In season two, Sabrina deals with witch hunters and gets new powers after dying and miraculously comes back to life. Nick Scratch, Sabrina’s friend, gets trapped after sacrificing himself to save the witches. In season three, Sabrina and her friends come up with a plan to find and save Nick and face many challenges along the way. There is also a new group of witches called the Pagans that are trying to destroy Sabrina’s coven. Lastly, with season four wrapping up the series, Sabrina has a doppelganger of herself and she is split into two identities which causes problems in the coven. 

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Gavin Leatherwood, Jaz Sinclair, Miranda Otto, Chance Perdomo, Lucy Davis, Michelle Gomez, Tati Gabrielle, Lachlan Watson, and Richard Coyle. 

This show is directed by Lee Toland Krieger and is produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Lee Toland Krieger, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Jon Goldwater. 

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is in the Horror genre. 

Rotten tomatoes said 81% of people enjoyed this show. 

I would rate this show a 10/10. I really enjoyed this show because it was action packed. There was always so much going on and I never knew what was going to happen next, I was hooked throughout the entire series. I would recommend this show to any teenager or adult who enjoys shows with a lot of drama and action.
