On Monday, Mar. 22nd, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team played their first district game against Durand at Owosso. After defeating Durand in the regular season, they were confident to win again, and they did with a final score of 49-24.
Caitlyn Walter was the highest scorer with 19 points and Evalyn Cole had 6 steals. With that win they continued on to play Corunna on Wednesday, Mar. 24th.
The Marauders came up short Wednesday night and lost 53-33. This brought the record of all of their games to 12-5. Coach Ryan Cunningham is very proud of the girls and their season. The coaches and players are looking forward to next year and hoping it can be more normal.
