The movie Interstellar, released in 2014, is a 170 minutes long epic science fiction film, produced and directed by Christopher Nolan. It is one of the most thought provoking films and a really good blockbuster. It stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hethaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Byrstin, John Lithgow, Michael Caine and Matt Damon. It’s available on DVD, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Vudu.
The movie is set sometime in the future, where a global crop blight and a dust bowl are slowly making the world uninhabitable. Professor Brand, a brilliant NASA physicist, played by Micheal Caine, is working on a plan to save mankind by transporting the whole population to a new planet via wormhole. But first, former NASA pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and a team of researchers are sent through the wormhole into the galaxy to find out which of three planets could be a new home to Earth’s Population.
Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie a 72% rating, but I would rate this movie a nine out of ten because of it’s great display of the physics it covers and the great storytelling.
