The Same Kind of Different As Me came into theaters on Oct 20, 2017. This drama has a run time of 1 hour and 59 minutes. And although this movie was first released in 2017, just recently it was syndicated on Netflix to be rewatched time and time again.
The Same Kind of Different As Me is a heartbreaking, but true, movie to start off, but eventually, this movie teaches the real values of love and simple kindness. It takes the viewer through the journey and transformation of Ron Hall, played by actor Greg Kinnear, and Denver, played by Djimon Hounsou. The two are brought together by Ron’s wife Debbie Hall, played by Renee Zellweger.
This movie was directed by Micheal Carney and produced by Ron Hall (he lived through this experience), Mary Parent, Darren Moorman, Stephen D. Johnston, and Cale Boyter. They produced a movie that was rated 40/100% on the Tomato meter scale, which I believe could be a lot higher, but on the flip side, the movie was rated 85/100% on the audience scale which is every one that rated the movie above 3.5 stars. I would rate this movie a 5 out of 5 stars. It holds a lot of deep messages that a brought about in an interesting way.
