New Year Celebrations Include Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Wings and Sparkling Grape Juice

As 2022 came to an end, many people celebrated the New Year. A total of 10 Ovid-Elsie High School students were surveyed on their New Year experience. However, everyone celebrates differently, and the results of this survey prove just how different they are. First, they were asked who they spend their holiday with. Five students responded they spend it with their family, four said they spend it with friends, and one said they spend it alone. When asked if they enjoy the New Year, eight replied yes, and sometimes and no were tied with one vote each.

Next, the voters were asked about their food choices. First, they were questioned about their favorite appetizer. Five responded mozzarella sticks, two responded jalapeno poppers, two responded other, and one responded egg rolls. After that, they were asked to vote on their favorite main dish food. Seven replied that chicken wings are their favorite, two said they had an unlisted favorite, and one said that meatballs are their favorite.

Lastly, it’s always fun to see who can stay awake the latest on New Years Eve, but does everyone really stay up? Eight recipients said they do stay up until midnight, and both no and sometimes had one vote. While staying up late, it’s important to stay hydrated and healthy, so the voters were asked about their favorite drink. Six students responded that sparkling grape juice is their favorite drink, two responded that water is their favorite, and both cranberry and apple juice had one vote.
