Last Sunday we saw a highly anticipated matchup between two Super Bowl caliber teams. The San Francisco 49ers versus the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott had another bad game which sealed the fate of the cowboys. Prescott was 23/37 passes completed, he threw for 206 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. A big part of the Cowboy’s game is being able to run the ball efficiently, but in this game, they had a total of 76 rushing yards on 22 carries, which is an average of 3.5 yards per carry, which is the lowest the Cowboys have had all season. The passing game was more efficient however with star receiver CeDee Lamb. He had 10 receptions for 117 yards. For the 49ers, rookie quarterback Brock Purdy was very efficient as he was 19/29 completions for 214 yards. The 49er’s run game also struggled this week as they had 113 rushing yards on 32 carries which is an average of 3.5 yards per carry. Both run heavy teams struggled on the ground this week. The game was close the whole way through, but the 49ers came out on top 19-12 and earned their way into an NFC championship game versus the number 1 ranked Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, January 29th.
