Lady Marauders rise over the Mackinaw City Comets in a 59-55 matchup at Alma College. The
game occurred on February 4th, and Alma College was used as a meeting point for the Trolls +
Yoopers. While this is a non-conference game and had little bearing on championship
implications, it was a fun bout nonetheless.
Leading the Marauders with a monster game was Junior Evalyn Cole. Cole would lead the team
with 19 points. Unsurprisingly, Ovid-Elsie Superstart Ava Bates followed up with a close 17
points. Other key players include Braeden Tokar, with 11 points, and Kiah Longoria with 6
points. Two of Longoria’s points come from free throws at deciding points in the game.
The Lady Marauders look to their next matchup away against Lindon, Wednesday, February 8th.
Their game will start at 7:00pm and follow the Girl’s JV matchup at 5:30. Additionally, the Boys
will face off against Lindon at home, with JV taking the court at 5:30 pm, followed by Varsity at
7:00 pm.
