According to Emily Bingham’s article Will the 2024 total solar eclipse be visible in Michigan?
published on Feb. 28, 2024, there is an upcoming solar eclipse that has caught the attention of
many in America. The eclipse is set to occur on April 8th, 2024, and people are eagerly waiting
to witness this breathtaking rare occurrence. NASA has released a map of the eclipse’s path,
which shows that it will traverse a curved line across the United States, from Texas to Maine.
This path of totality will pass over more than a dozen states, offering a spectacular view of the
eclipse. Unfortunately, for those residing in Michigan, the view of this celestial event will be
partially obstructed as the state lies outside the path of totality. On the bright side, there are also
some benefits to this, if you do not have specific glasses when watching the eclipse, you can
face severe sight damage. In hindsight, you are keeping your eyes safe.
