Israel is preparing an invasion of South Lebanon, to take out Hezbollah Outposts. Lebanon has moved it’s soldiers off of the border at least three miles, leaving the Hezbollah Outposts to face Israel by themselves. Israel has stated that they are going to have a “limited incursion” of Lebanon to eliminate Hezbollah’s “Terror Infrastructure”. They have not given a time into when this will happen, however it is assumed to happen at any moment.
The invasion could end with Israel in a two-front war, spreading the war farther. Biden has said that the US is against the plan, but have known about the plans existence for a while. He also stated that the US continues to support a 21-day ceasefire deal. The incursion would be on a smaller scale then the Gaza incursion, only focusing on taking out key Hezbollah areas and stashes near the border, stopping the continuous bombardment of Northern Israel.
The terror group Hezbollah has stated that they know that the battle might be long, along with knowing that Israel may attempt a ground invasion. They also stated that they would be ready, and that Israel would not be able to hurt their military structure, even after killing some of their commanders. With this, Hezollah has also continued to bomb Israel as far as 93 miles into Israels territory.
