So whether you’ve seen it on Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram, etc., you’ve definitely heard about the Mike Tyson v.s Jake Paul fight. So when you’re on the couch this Friday (Nov.15th) watching the match you’ll feel satisfied knowing that you know the story behind one of the biggest fights of the century. So if you don’t know Jake Paul is a famous Youtuber who out of the blue in the year 2020 decided to become a competitive boxer. Mike Tyson, one of the best boxers of his time, started his career in 1985 and retired in 2005. Now before we get into the statistics I’d like to get into how the fight even started in the first place. The reason for the fight, basically Jake Paul, being the cocky fighter he is, called out Mike Tyson to a fight. Now this is a big surprise here now they are both fighting for one bragging rights and two for $4 million. Even if Tyson does win, Jake Paul being associated with Netflix and all the clout this fight has brought him, will still make a good chunk of money. Now onto the statistics you all have been waiting for. Jake Paul’s training for this fight consists of,”boxing techniques, physical conditioning and mental work. He focuses on improving his punching technique, speed and endurance. In addition, he usually works with experienced trainers and performs intense sparring to prepare for the fight.” Now to add onto that he has four years of boxing experience under his belt as well. Now onto Mike Tyson. His workout routine, would include 2000 sit-ups, 500-800 dips, 500 press-ups, and 500 shrugs with a 30kg barbell. He would also do around 10 minutes of neck rolls on a folded towel. Tyson’s improved neck strength drastically reduced the chances of him getting knocked out during a fight.”He also has 20 years of boxing experience under his belt. With the stats out of the way, what is my personal opinion on this fight? Now without a doubt this is going to be a good fight with Jake Paul’s immense training and Mike Tyson experience. I think it’s going to come down to who can last longer. What I mean by that is that Mike Tyson is an old man now and if he takes too many blows it might not look too good for him. Then again, will Jake Paul have the stamina to stay standing after Tyson’s punches.
