For Emma, Forever Ago By Bon Iver is by far the best album he has ever produced. This
album is breathtakingly beautiful, this album was released on July 8th, 2007. Sadly it is only 37
minutes and 14 seconds long, I wish it was made longer. The genres are Indie Rock, Indie Folk,
Folk Music, Folk Rock, Country Music, Ambient Music, and Alternative Country.
This album is the most perfect example of Bon Ivers music style and his talent. He is so
incredibly talented and this album reflects that. His lyrics are so beautifully heartbreaking. If
someone were to ask if Bon Iver is a good artist I would play this album and it would explain
itself, this album is that good.
There are 9 songs in this album, all of them are phenomenal. My favorites are Skinny
Love and For Emma. In For Emma, a verse that imprints itself in your head is
Go find another lover
To bring a-, to string along!
With all your lies
You’re still very lovable
I toured the light, so many foreign roads
For Emma, forever ago
All in all this album is so good and it is definitely worth your while. I rate it an 11/10 it
deserves that extra 1 point. It is incredible, every song and every lyric will make you like this album. I
highly recommend it.
