We interviewed Freshman Ellyanna Carman on the upcoming JV girls basketball season. When asked how she thought the season would go Ellyanna responded with confidence in her team, she said they all have good experience, her only concern being that they had a very young team this year with ten freshmen and only one returning sophomore. Carman was next asked who their top players would be. Sophomore Haylee Palus who is the PG will be a threat with her dribbling this year. Freshmen Madison Thornton will also be a great addition this year bringing good post moves and strong rebounding to the team. Ellyanna also hopes to be a good asset to the team with her post ability and dribbling skills. When asked what her position would be she said she plays a bit of everywhere. She’s a good point guard for the team but with her height she could also be a great post option. Carman has been playing basketball since 3rd grade making this her 6th year playing. She is most excited about her team. When asked what she looks forward to this season her response was, creating a family aspect with the team, team bonding and team meals. The Lady Marauders will be having a game on November 29th to start off their season.
