Taylor Swift released the album Folklore during the pandemic, on July 24th 2020. In 2020, the album won a Grammy for Album of the Year. That award made Taylor the only solo woman artist to win Album of the Year 3 times for solo recordings.
In total, Taylor has won 12 Grammys with 46 nominations. On Taylor’s record-breaking Eras tour, she features seven songs from Folklore, including “The 1”, “Cardigan,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “My Tears Ricochet,” “August,” “Illicit Affairs,” and “Betty”.
Throughout this album, Taylor has shown some new notes. There are many examples of this, but on the Eras Tour, when singing “The 1”, the change in notes while singing live is incredible. She has performed this through all of her Native American tours with 146 dates total.
This album has a lot of relatable music to people thought all age groups and helps people not feel alone with their mental health. According to an album review a fan states,” Folklore healed me during this time of quarantine. Taylor made her best to make everyone feel the emotion and feelings of every tracks. This album is one of her best lyrical storytelling… Folklore will make you see what life is really about, if you pay attention in her lyrics, it strikes differently and it will make you realize in more matured life.”
In my opinion, Folklore is one of the best albums and I rate it a 10/10 because of her vocals, the message behind the songs, and how poetic she writes.
