The Ovid-Elsie wrestling team took four of their wrestlers to states this year that took place in Ford Field. The wrestlers started on Thursday with weigh-ins and wrestled in the morning on Friday. The wrestlers had made it through regionals, those being Cole Workman, Sharla Juhas, Talan Parsons and Sam Grubaugh. Sam Grubaugh and Cole Workman did not make it through the day on Friday and finished their season off. Sharla Juhas wrestled and ended up placing 8th in the state for her weight class in girls. Talan Parsons finished on Saturday placing first in the state for his division 3, 103 weight class, this being the first since 2004. Talan finished as runner up last year in this weight division.
