Head Coach Matt Rhule Fired from Carolina Panthers

Hot pickup for a coach Matt Rhule was fired as head coach for the Carolina Panthers. He was first hired on a seven-year, $60 million contract. Since Rhule began coaching in Carolina in 2020, the Panthers are 11-27. Owner David Tepper first believed in Rhule, but quickly changed his mindset after the 2nd season. Tepper stated,” My team’s failure is not based on player execution, it’s the coaching”. Tepper will appoint Steve Wilks as their interim coach until they find a proper replacement. Wilks was previously the team’s defensive coordinator and Defensive Back coach. The Carolina Panthers are more enthusiastic going into the rest of the season with better coaching.
